Day 16 (5-27-11)

Well today was my birthday! Nineteen feels like a weird age though. It's actually the age you become legal in Alabama so I guess if I lived here it would hold more significance, but for me it feels like an in between age haha.
But anyways today we did a home visit to Ms. Brown and pretty much figured out she is our big project for the summer. She needs a new roof, two new porches, and two bathrooms pretty much gutted and replaced. It was fun to get the feel for what a home visit was like. We also went to Marvin's hardware store for a quick crash course and then to walmart for a few odds and ends. Then we got a treat at Sonic! Today was mostly spent driving around Livingston and the nearby areas where we will be working to get a feel for the layout of everything.
At dinner we had Red velvet cake for my birthday from the Mennonite bakery and it was delicious!
We followed dinner up with some more programming planning and then called it a night.
So pretty much a good birthday all around with the ARM family but wish I could have seen some friends and family from back home.
