Day 15 (5-26-11)

Today was eventful to say the least haha.
We started out pretty peaceful we drove to the hardware store we will use this summer and then we got some really good pastries at this local Mennonite bakery and then the construction people were supposed to inventory the tool building and the day camp people were supposed to do the same for the day camp materials. And that's what we did for the most part until Jessica got stung by a wasp. Shortly after said stinging she informed us that she is in fact allergic to wasps (and fire ants, and bees, and hornets) and she was without her epi-pen. So we dropped everything and drove 25 minutes to the closest hospital hoping we'd make it in time haha. Everything turned out okay but it did give everyone a bit of a scare. This was not where the fun stopped haha. After we actually almost finished inventorying the tool building Ashley and I got an impromptu car maintenance lesson from Lisa, followed by a driving lesson for Ashley which turned into the truck breaking down and us having to be pulled all the way back to the lodge by two nice people from the community. Christina left shortly after
our hospital trip to go to her sister's graduation and Jessica slept the rest of the day so the rest of us had a quick pizza dinner and then went over some financial stuff and made a couple fun calls to set up house visits tomorrow. After all this we had a free night because of all the days hectic activity and so Brittany, Ashley, Megan, and I watched X-men and ate ice cream.

Also I finished Wild at Heart last night and it was excellent and I'm starting Crazy Love now by Francis Chan.
Thanks to the Tuskegee staff for making me a birthday YouTube video haha!
