Beulah was from Indiana and a mainly adult group with some youth. We started our project on Ms. Allie Brown's house with them intending to do just her back porch. Boy were we wrong! We finished her back porch by wednesday and began deconstructing her front porch (which I got to pull down a portion of the roof with a truck which was sweet) and then built it back up. We also finished replumbing her shower and reflooring her bathroom and installing a new vanity! Ms. Allie was also running a generator for six months prior to Beulah because her power got shut off and then there was a dispute with the electric company. So while working there the group from Beulah got there church to pay to have her electricity turned back on! The coolest part was that the day that the guy came to turn the power back on Ms. Allie's generator broke down.
Beulah was an awesome group altogether and Ms. Allie continues to amaze me every time I go to her house.
